Working Bees

The Friends host regular Working Bees every Tuesday morning and one Sunday afternoon a month (all weather permitting). Our current focus of work is in Gum Gully which you can read more about here: https://friendsofkaroricemetery.co.nz/gum-gully/

Our work primarily entails removing vegetation from plots, sweeping their surfaces, pulling weeds etc.

Our volunteers tell us they get great satisfaction in seeing the transformation that just a few hours of work can do. We work together in a group and enjoy the social aspect of this. Our Bee volunteers are a both regular attendees and drop-in – there is no ongoing commitment.

If you are interested in volunteering for one of our Bees or would like to find out more about bringing a group in to undertake a group Bee, please contact us at: [email protected]
