The Friends is a wholly volunteer-based organisation. Without the assistance of volunteers the Friends cannot achieve our goals. As a consequence the whole organisation works to involve and recognise volunteers.
Volunteering with the Friends is organised around six activities. Each is led by a member of the Friend’s Committee. If you are interested volunteering with us please do not hesitate to contact us.
Tours & Research
Responsible for genealogy and associated research, tour design, guide selection and training, guided tours. If you are interested in writing a story for us to share on our website and social media, please refer to our Story Writing Guide.
Working Bees
These occur regularly throughout the year and we run an email distribution list to share information about working bees. If you are interested in joining one of our bees, please email [email protected] .
Gardening
This activity will involve gardening and plot maintenance working closely with Cemetery management and plot owners.
