DESCRIPTION:Nation Builders: Our City\, Our Country\, Our Heritage Tour. \nThis tour has been cancelled and those who had booked\, notified. \nMeet some of the men who built our country – the engineers who designed and built railways\, bridges\, viaducts\, ports and harbours; politicians and lawyers who provided the leadership and political frameworks; a surveyor whose detailed maps of Wellington are still used today\, industrialists\, a pre-eminent earthquake scientist\, a judge of the Supreme Court\, and a Premier (4 times!) during the 1880’s. \n*Note: parts of this tour has previously been featured in our Movers and Shakers tour \nOur tour has a maximum capacity of about 15 persons. If there are insufficient tickets remaining for your party\, please email us at info@friendsofkaroricemetery.co.nz to check if we can accommodate you. \nNote:\nIf we have to cancel a tour due to inclement weather or sickness\, we will notify you on the day by 9am by email and on our Facebook page. The booking fee is non-refundable. \nPlease dress appropriately for the conditions. While we do our best to guide you on a safe walking route\, during the winter months the ground can become slippery in places. \nWe look forward to welcoming you to Karori Cemetery.
